There are always vacancies in any of our roles as below:

Station Master – Meeting passengers on the platform, ensuring all customers are felt welcome and appreciated.

Driver – Go through the process of becoming a driver whether it be on a diesel locomotive or if available a steam locomotive. Both of these require a period of training in other roles which lead up to the final passing out.

Travelling Ticket Inspector – This role involves checking the tickets of our passengers and assisting the guard in their duties.

Retail – We run a little shop which doubles up as our ticket office, if you have skills in this area we would gladly accept any assistance in building our team.

Engineering – Help us by building the railway by becoming a permanent way team member. This involves conducting track walks to identify defects and rectifying them before they become a larger issue. We also have roles in carriage and locomotive engineering, maintaining our stock in a safe condition. This includes periodic maintenance and fault/defect rectification.

Guard – Ensuring the train is safe to move and engaging with the passengers along the journey or whilst stopped at any of our stations.

Training is given for all these roles and any of the secondary roles like dumper and excavator drivers. If you already has the skills and can prove your competence then you may be able to assist.
